In Situ Study of the Photodegradation of Carbofuran Deposited on TiO\u3csub\u3e2\u3c/sub\u3e Film under UV Light, Using ATR-FTIR Coupled to HS-MCR-ALS [PDF]
The in situ study of the photodegradation of carbofuran deposited on a TiO2 catalyst film under UV light was carried out using the ATR-FTIR technique. The data were analyzed using a Hard–Soft Multivariate Curve Resolution-Alternating Least Squares (HS ...

In-vitro study of ISApl1-mediated mobilization of the colistin resistance gene mcr-1 [PDF]
The plasmid-mediated mcr-1 gene encodes a phosphoethanolamine transferase conferring resistance to polymyxins. The mcr-1 gene is associated with insertion sequence ISApl1 (IS30 family).

Adaptive Hydrogels With Spatiotemporal Stiffening Using pH‐Modulating Enzymes
The chemomechanical coupling in an adaptive hydrogel is studied to further the development of adaptive hydrogels. This coupling is achieved by embedding a pH‐modulating enzyme in a pH‐responsive hydrogel. The enzymatic reaction can be triggered locally, which generates a pH‐decreasing wave throughout the system, increasing the crosslinking density and ...

Gated Mode Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors
Single Photon Detectors (SPD) are fundamental to quantum optics and quantum information. Superconducting Nanowire SPDs (SNSPD) [1] provide high performance in terms of quantum efficiency (QE), dark count rate (DCR) and timing jitter [2], but have limited

Critical energy flux and mass in solvable theories of 2d dilaton gravity [PDF]
In this paper we address the issue of determining the semiclassical threshold for black hole formation in the context of a one-parameter family of theories which continuously interpolates between the RST and BPP models.

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Twisted-mass QCD, O(a) improvement and Wilson chiral perturbation theory
We point out a caveat in the proof for automatic O(a) improvement in twisted mass lattice QCD at maximal twist angle. With the definition for the twist angle previously given by Frezzotti and Rossi, automatic O(a) improvement can fail unless the quark ...

Assembly of Cell‐Seeded 3D Printed Hydrogel Modules with Perfusable Channel Networks
Macroscale assembly was utilized to prepare perfusable tissue constructs from individually 3D printed hydrogel modules with embedded branched channel networks and port arrays for cell seeding. Novel multi‐material bioreactors were fabricated to facilitate the gluing of individual modules and the perfusion culture of assembled modular constructs seeded ...
