Absolute and convective instabilities in an inviscid compressible mixing layer [PDF]
We consider the stability of a compressible shear flow separating two streams of different speeds and temperatures. The velocity and temperature profiles in this mixing layer are hyperbolic tangents.

Thermophysical Properties of the Desulphurization Slags With Various CaS and CaO/Al2O3 Ratio
This article investigates how CaS content and the CaO/Al2O3 ratio influence the thermophysical properties of desulphurization slags. Using experimental measurements and thermodynamic simulations, this study reveals complex effects on viscosity, surface tension, and density, providing new insight into slag structure and phase behavior under ...

Genomic Evidence of mcr-1.26 IncX4 Plasmid Transmission between Poultry and Humans
Colistin is still commonly used and misused in animal husbandry driving the evolution and dissemination of transmissible plasmid-mediated colistin resistance (mcr).

The End of Amnesia: Measuring the Metallicities of Type Ia SN Progenitors with Manganese Lines in Supernova Remnants [PDF]
The Mn to Cr mass ratio in supernova ejecta has recently been proposed as a tracer of Type Ia SN progenitor metallicity. We review the advantages and problems of this observable quantity, and discuss them in the framework of the Tycho Supernova Remnant ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Laminar flow in three-dimensional square-square expansions [PDF]
In this work we investigate the three-dimensional laminar flow of Newtonian and viscoelastic fluids through square–square expansions. The experimental results obtained in this simple geometry provide useful data for benchmarking purposes in complex three-

Multicomponent Reactions (MCRs) [PDF]
Multicomponent reactions (MCRs) involving three or more components have good pot, atom and step economy. There are dozens of well-known MCRs in literature. Selective examples of newly introduced MCRs, high–order MCRs, MCRs followed by post-condensation modifications, and consecutive MCRs are presented in this chapter.

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,
