Biological corridors are crucial habitat features that boost biodiversity in agroecological systems of Argentina

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence
The implementation of biological corridors in agroecosystems is a management strategy to increase biodiversity and create habitats for beneficial species that help reestablish biological and natural control by improving the complexity of trophic networks

Proceedings of Second European Workshop on Model Driven Architecture (MDA) with an emphasis on Methodologies and Transformations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In this workshop we explore how the MDA approach affects or impacts on methodologies for system development, and explore the techniques available for specifying transformations, in particular taking a look at tools (or potential tools) for supporting ...

MDA-MB-231 +eGFP invasion into Matrigel.

open access: yes, 2022
MDA-MB-231 cells transduced with eGFP were plated onto the outside of a transwell membrane. 10 ng mL-1 epidermal growth factor was used to stimulate invasion through the membrane and into Matrigel.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Ontology transformation and reasoning for model-driven architecture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Model-driven Architecture (MDA) is a software architecture framework proposed by the Object Management Group OMG. MDA emphasises the importance of modelling in the architectural design of service-based software systems.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
