Background The newly discovered reversible N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification plays an important regulatory role in gene expression. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) participate in Marek’s disease virus (MDV) replication but how m6A modifications in ...

IFNα and IFNγ Impede Marek’s Disease Progression [PDF]
Marek’s disease virus (MDV) is an alphaherpesvirus that causes Marek’s disease, a malignant lymphoproliferative disease of domestic chickens. While MDV vaccines protect animals from clinical disease, they do not provide sterilizing immunity and allow ...

Spontaneously activated MDV is rarely included in MDV-transformed cells, while it may influence the results of transcriptional analysis. A population consisting of 10(3) MDV-transformed cells probably did not include spontaneously activated MDV, since the estimated frequency of MDV-transformed cells including activated MDV was below 0.01% according to ...

Differential cytokine responses following Marek's disease virus infection in chicken genotypes differing in resistance to Marek's disease [PDF]
The production of cytokine mRNAs, in addition to viral DNA, was quantified by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) (cytokines) or PCR (virus) in splenocytes during the course of Marek's disease virus (MDV) infection in four inbred ...

Marek’s disease virus (MDV) causes malignant lymphoma in chickens (Marek’s disease, MD). Although MD is currently controlled by vaccination, MDV strains have continuously increased in virulence over the recent decades.

The genes UL18, UL19, UL26, UL26.5, UL35 and UL38 of Marek's disease virus 1 (MDV-1) strain RB1B, encoding the homologues of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) capsid proteins VP23, VP5, VP21–VP24, preVP22a, VP26 and VP19C, were identified and sequenced. Recombinant baculoviruses were used to express the six capsid genes in insect cells.

Immunogenicity and safety of 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) formulated with 2-phenoxyethanol in multidose vials given with routine vaccination in healthy infants: An open-label randomized controlled trial. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: This open-label randomized controlled trial in infants compared safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of the 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) formulated with the preservative 2-phenoxyethanol (2-PE) in a multidose vial (MDV)

Neuroprotective effects of sinomenine and metformin in diabetic stroke: Role of NLRP3/caspase-1 and mitophagy. [PDF]
Abstract Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) significantly increases the risk and severity of cerebral ischaemia–reperfusion (IR) injury, yet effective neuroprotective treatments for diabetic stroke remain limited. This study explored whether a combination of sinomenine and metformin could offer enhanced neuroprotection in diabetic rats subjected to ...

The Incompressible Euler Limit of the Boltzmann Equation with Accommodation Boundary Condition [PDF]
The convergence of solutions of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations set in a domain with boundary to solutions of the Euler equations in the large Reynolds number limit is a challenging open problem both in 2 and 3 space dimensions.
