The {phi} mean free path in hot hadronic matter [PDF]
We calculate the {phi} meson collision rate and mean free path in a hot hadronic gas. The Hidden Local Symmetry model is used to take into account interactions of {phi} mesons with pseudoscalar ({pi}, K) and vector mesons ({rho}, {omega}, K*, {phi}).

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Entanglement Area Law in Disordered Free Fermion Anderson Model in One, Two, and Three Dimensions
We calculate numerically the entanglement entropy of free fermion ground states in one-, two-, and three-dimensional Anderson models and find that it obeys the area law as long as the linear size of the subsystem is sufficiently larger than the mean free

The scattering mean free path of cosmic ray particles in isotropic damped plasma wave turbulence
An analytical expression for the mean free path of single-charged cosmic ray particles, especially for positrons, is derived in isotropic plasma wave turbulence, where the crucial scattering of cosmic ray particles with small pitch-angle cosines is ...

Mean-free path effects in magnetoresistance of ferromagnetic nanocontacts
We investigated the mean-free path effects on the magnetoresistance of ferromagnetic nanocontacts. For most combinations of parameters the magnetoresistance monotonously decreases with increasing the contact cross-section.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.
