Revealing The True Mechanical Behavior Of Porous Tendon Scaffolds Via In Situ Morphometry

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 4, April 2026.
Strain‐dependent morphology is measured in electrospun porous polymeric tendon/ligament scaffolds. This dependence significantly affects the scaffolds’ mechanical characteristics. Analysis of both morphological and mechanical changes helps to correlate them. More physiological characteristics are obtained by considering morphological changes.

Toward Dynamic Liquid Cell Scaffold: Photoreversible Ion Gels Exhibiting Light‐Induced Sol‐Gel Transitions

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 47, Issue 7, 3 April 2026.
Light‐programmable, non‐cytotoxic ion gels based on ABC triblock copolymers undergo photoreversible sol‐gel transitions, crossing the rheological boundary (tan δ ∼ 1). UV–vis light irradiation modulates the lifetime of reversible junctions, switching the scaffold between liquid‐like and solid (gel)‐like states.

Disciplinary faculty's curriculum‐embedded writing‐for‐publication instruction for graduate students: A systematic review

open access: yesReview of Education, Volume 14, Issue 1, April 2026.
Abstract Graduate students across the world are increasingly required or expected to publish in English‐medium academic journals, yet their capacity to do so often depends on the nature of pedagogical support available within their programs. While English for Research Publication Purposes (ERPP) instruction by language specialists has gained a growing ...

Fluorescently Labeled Gradient Hydrogels Reveal Matrix‐Dependent Cell Responses to Substrate Stiffness

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 20, 7 April 2026.
This work demonstrates a new thermophoretic strategy to fabricate fluorescently labeled stiffness gradient hydrogels, enabling contactless stiffness characterization. Fibroblasts cultured on gradient GelMA and Gellan gum hydrogels revealed distinct cell morphology and migration behavior.
