Mechanochemical Transformations in Mixtures of the Silicate Phases of Granite

Journal of Materials Synthesis and Processing, 2000
The effect of mechanical treatment of different degrees of action on the changes in the composition of silicate phases of natural granite is studied. Mechanochemical treatment is demonstrated to cause disordering of silicate structures. Layered hydrosilicates are most easily destroyed, which is explained by their dehydration.

Transformations in Oxides- Dry and Wet Mechanochemical Processes

Materials Science Forum, 1998
In the past few years mechanochemistry has proved to be an exciting technique for modification of existing materials and the synthesis of new materials. For example, a broad range of ceramics and ceramic-metal composites, amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys as well as high temperature phases of nitrides, carbides and silicides have been produced by ...

Mechanochemical Transformations of Pharmaceutical Cocrystals: Polymorphs and Coformer Exchange

Chemistry – A European Journal
AbstractTransformations of solid samples under solvent‐free or minimal solvent conditions set the future trend and define a modern strategy for the production of new materials. Of the various technologies tested in recent years, the mechanochemical approach seems to be the most promising for economic and ecological reasons.

Increasing the energy yield of mechanochemical transformations: selected case studies

Faraday Discuss., 2014
The products of mechanical treatment are surface atoms or molecules, substances with a crystal structure different from their initial one (another polymorph, amorphous), point or linear defects, radicals and new chemical substances. It is often assumed, that to increase the yield of the products of a mechanical treatment, it is necessary to increase ...

Comparison of the thermochemical and mechanochemical transformations in the 2NaNH 2 –MgH 2 system

International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2015
Abstract We focus on the chemical transformations involved in the 2NaNH2 + MgH2 system subjected to thermal and mechanical inputs. Transformations occurring on the powder mixture during thermochemical and mechanochemical processes are described by ex-situ X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), FT-IR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and ...

Transformation of the Triclabendazole Substance upon Mechanochemical Processing

INEOS OPEN
The use of mechanochemical processing, particularly the mechanochemical modification of poorly soluble medicinal substances, such as anthelmintics, significantly improves their water solubility and bioavailability, which enhances their parasiticidal activity and broadens their spectrum of action.

Thermal and mechanochemical transformations of potassium exchanged zeolite A

1996
Thermal transformations of potassium-exchanged zeolite A and the x-ray amorphous material obtained by ball milling of the potassium-exchanged zeolite A were investigated by different methods such as: differential thermogravimetry (DTG), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffractometry, FTIR spectroscopy and scanning-electron microscopy ...
