Optimising the greenhouse cultivation of Lotus japonicus under dimmable LED
Optimisation of growth conditions for Lotus japonicus ecotypes MG‐20 and Gifu in climate‐controlled greenhouses indicated that L. japonicus produced less flowers and pods under the fluctuating light of mobile LED (location = 5) than under stationary LED (location = 9) and the effect of the light source increased under low ambient light conditions in ...

Shear‐induced blood damage—including hemolysis, platelet and neutrophil injury, and von Willebrand factor (vWF) degradation—was evaluated for the BrioVAD and HM3 using an in vitro circulatory loop under clinically relevant conditions. Across 15 biomarkers (n > 6 per group), no significant differences were observed between the two devices.

Three sibling parasitoid wasps of the Cotesia inducta (Braconidae) complex attack ant‐associated lycaenid larvae in Japan. Species differ in host range, seasonal host use and feeding habitat. Differences in host‐feeding habitat may contribute to diversification within the Cotesia inducta complex. Abstract Approximately 75% of lycaenid butterfly species

Revegetated mine tailing storage facilities support pollinator abundance, diversity, richness and evenness comparable to recently logged boreal forest sites. Agronomic and spontaneous revegetation strategies host similar pollinator and Bombus community structures, indicating multiple rehabilitation approaches can effectively restore pollinator habitat.
