Flash chromatography on cartridges for the separation of plant extracts: Rules for the selection of chromatographic conditions and comparison with medium pressure liquid chromatography

Fìtoterapìâ, 2011
Empirical rules for the selection of chromatographic conditions on flash chromatography cartridges were developed, with an emphasis on gradient mode. These rules were then tested with separation of extracts from important medicinal plants including Curcuma xanthorrhiza, Piper nigrum and Salvia milthiorrhiza.

Isolation and purification of carbazole contained in anthracene slag by extraction combined with medium pressure liquid chromatography

Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2019
Abstract Ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) combined with medium pressure liquid chromatography (MPLC) was designed for carbazole separation from anthracene slag (AS). The effects of liquid/solid ratio, temperature, and extraction times on carbazole separation were investigated. When using CCl4 and ethyl acetate as extraction solvents and combining

A low-cost medium-pressure liquid chromatography system for preparative separations

Chromatographia, 1979
On the basis of theoretical and economic considerations a medium-pressure liquid chromatography system for preparative separations was developed. The choice of stationary phases with an average particle size of about 50 μm allows a dry column packing technique and makes possible short separation times with low pressure drop.

Preparative purification of peoniflorin and albiflorin from peony rhizome using macroporous resin and medium‐pressure liquid chromatography

Journal of Separation Science, 2012
Peoniflorin (PF) and albiflorin (AF) are two principal components of Paeonia species, which exhibit various biological activities such as improvement of blood circulation and immunoregulating function. To further utilization of waste parts of peony plants, an efficient method for preparative purification of these two ingredients from white peony ...

Combination of normal-phase medium-pressure liquid chromatography and high-performance counter-current chromatography for preparation of ginsenoside-Ro from panax ginseng with high recovery and efficiency

Separation and Purification Technology, 2010
Abstract Ginsenoside-Ro which belongs to the oleanane-type saponins has anti-inflammatory, anti-platelet, anticomplementary and immunomodulatory activities. The present paper described the preparation of ginsenoside-Ro from panax ginseng with high recovery and efficiency by combination of normal-phase medium-pressure liquid chromatography (NP-MPLC ...

Medium-Pressure Liquid Chromatography Coupled to Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry for Separation and On-Line Characterization of Flavonoids from Asparagus officinalis

Chromatographia, 2009
A novel method for separation and on-line characterization of flavonoids from Asparagus officinalis by medium-pressure liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionization multi-stage mass spectrometry (MPLC-ESI-MSn) was successfully established. The hyphenation between MPLC and ESI-MSn was designed to keep the split ratio exactly in the range from

Separation and Purification of Sinigrin and Gluconapin from Defatted Indian Mustard Seed Meals by Macroporous Anion Exchange Resin and Medium Pressure Liquid Chromatography

Separation Science and Technology, 2014
Defatted seed meals, the byproducts of Indian mustard seed oil industry, which are just used as animal feedstock and nitrogen fertilizers, possess various nutrients and phytochemical compounds, such as sinigrin and gluconapin. The present study demonstrated a novel, low-cost, and efficient method for the co-production of sinigrin and gluconapin from ...
