Antenatal betamethasone impairs markers of cardiac development and function in near‐term lambs

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure Summary of key molecular differences in the left ventricle of near‐term lambs exposed to antenatal betamethasone, compared to saline. Pregnant ewes received two doses of either saline (Saline) or betamethasone (Betamethasone, intramuscular, 11.4 mg) given 24 h apart, before delivery at 140 days of gestation (dG, term = 150 dG).

Unique Molecular Features in High-Risk Histology Endometrial Cancers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecologic malignancy in the United States and the sixth most common cancer in women worldwide. Fortunately, most women who develop endometrial cancer have low-grade early-stage endometrioid carcinomas, and simple ...

Mechanical Cues Regulate Estrogen and Progesterone‐Induced Nascent ECM Deposition by Human Endometrial Stromal Fibroblasts

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A, Volume 114, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The endometrium, the mucosal lining of the uterus, is a highly regenerative tissue that undergoes cyclic remodeling guided by tightly regulated levels of estrogen and progesterone. Stromal cells, including fibroblasts, are embedded within the connective tissue of the endometrium and contribute to the rapidly changing extracellular matrix (ECM).

Progestin-primed ovarian stimulation with letrozole using different doses of medroxyprogesterone acetate per day: a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundIn the progestin-primed ovarian stimulation protocol, the oral administration of medroxyprogesterone acetate has been observed to effectively inhibit the LH surge during ovarian stimulation in patients experiencing infertility.

Efficacy of Different Progestins in Women With Advanced Endometriosis Undergoing Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation for in vitro Fertilization-A Single-Center Non-inferiority Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2020
Object: Is it possible to use different progestins cotreatment with human menopausal gonadotrophin (hMG) in women with advanced endometriosis but normal ovulation during controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) in vitro fertilization (IVF)?

GPNMB immunohistochemistry is a useful ancillary tool for the diagnosis of pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis

open access: yesHistopathology, Volume 88, Issue 3, Page 698-709, February 2026.
We evaluated the diagnostic utility of GPNMB immunohistochemistry in LAM. GPNMB showed strong expression in LAM cells, while the differential diagnostic mimics showed no or only low expression. Based on its 100% sensitivity and specificity in our cohort, GPNMB is a highly reliable immunohistochemical marker for the diagnosis of LAM.

Impact of cyclooxygenase inhibitors in the Women's Health Initiative hormone trials: secondary analysis of a randomized trial. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
OBJECTIVES: We evaluated the hypothesis that cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor use might have counteracted a beneficial effect of postmenopausal hormone therapy, and account for the absence of cardioprotection in the Women's Health Initiative hormone trials.
