Maternal Nutritional Environment and the Development of the Melanocortin System

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 15, Issue 3, June 2025.
Maternal metabolic impairments are related to an increased risk of obesity in the offspring throughout life, and changes in the development of the melanocortin system may be one of the mechanisms that promote increased food intake in the long term, leading to a positive energy balance and increased fat deposition.

Spatiotemporal distribution of neural crest cells in the common wall lizard Podarcis muralis

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, Volume 254, Issue 6, Page 551-567, June 2025.
Abstract Background Neural crest cells (NCCs) are migratory embryonic stem cells that give rise to a diverse set of cell types. Here we describe the dynamic distribution of NCCs in developing embryos of the common wall lizard Podarcis muralis inferred from 10 markers.

Identification and Mapping of Human Lymph Node Stromal Cell Subsets by Combining Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing with Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 55, Issue 6, June 2025.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing of enzymatically dissociated human lymph node stromal cells (LNSCs) reveals transcriptional and spatial heterogeneity. Following cell sorting and phenotyping, stromal subsets were validated across multiple datasets, mapped within lymph node architecture, and analyzed for subset‐specific immune interactions, enabling a ...
