Multiple novel membrane proteins involve phthalate ester degradation in Rhodococcus sp. AH-ZY2
Phthalate esters (PAEs) are ubiquitous in the environment, and their microbial metabolism is associated with transport proteins. In this study, multiple novel membrane proteins were identified, revealing their pivotal role in PAEs degradation.

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Sphingomyelin is a major lipid of the mammalian cell surface. The view that sphingomyelin, after synthesis in the Golgi lumen, reaches the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane on the inside of carrier vesicles has been challenged by inconsistencies in ...

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Impact of the surface energy of particulate foulants on membrane fouling
Foulant-foulant and foulant-membrane interfacial interactions play an important role in dictating the extent of fouling. In order to understand the impact of the surface energy of particulate foulants on the fouling extent, the direct observation through
