miR172‐AP2 Controls Age‐Dependent Regeneration Competence in Populus
ABSTRACT Plants maintain remarkable regenerative potential, yet this capacity declines with developmental age, limiting clonal propagation and biotechnological applications. Here, we show that the miR172‐AP2 module serves as a central determinant of regeneration competence in Populus.

Single‐Nucleus Transcriptome Analysis Provides New Insights Into B Chromosome Elimination in Sorghum
ABSTRACT B chromosomes are supernumerary entities found in many plant species, with some exhibiting tissue‐specific elimination. In Sorghum purpureosericeum, extensive B chromosome elimination occurs during embryogenesis affecting most of the embryonic organs, leaving the B chromosome maintained mainly in limited regions of meristems.

ABSTRACT Introduction of dwarfism to cereals has set a new paradigm in crop improvement programmes. To date, very little progress has been made in the development of high‐yielding dwarf/semi‐dwarf genotypes in oilseed Brassica. Previous attempts using induced mutagenesis employed in the induction of dwarfism in Brassica crops yielded limited success ...

ABSTRACT The combination of polyploidy, apomixis and the formation of aneuploid and interploid hybrids makes the genus Urochloa an interesting system for investigating meiotic stability and genome behaviour in grasses. In this study, routine meiotic analysis and genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) were used to (i) evaluate meiosis in three hybrids of ...
