Genomic Investigations Unveil the Genetic Underpinnings of Environmental Adaptation in African Goat Populations

This study integrates genomics and landscape genetics to analyze African goat environmental adaptation. Analyzing 1591 samples, it finds population structure differentiates geographically into four groups, with gene flow between wild Yura goats and North Africans.

Toward implementation of lactate compared with pH in fetal scalp blood sampling during labor: A clinical comparative single‐center study

Lactate and pH in fetal blood samples are moderately correlated (r = −0.53). For the StatStrip® Lactate 2, we propose a lactate cutoff value of ≥5.6 mmol/L based on the most optimal balance between sensitivity (78.1% [60.0–90.7%]) and specificity (79.2% [73.4–84.3%]).

Experimental Extracorporeal Circulation System: A Pilot Study in Rats

A miniature extracorporeal circulation (ECC) system was developed for reproducible rodent studies. This system incorporates an integrated heat exchanger and a silicone membrane oxygenator within a double‐lumen circuit, resulting in an ultralow priming volume of < 1.5 mL.
