A Metadata Registry for Metadata Interoperability
In order to use distributed and heterogeneous scientific databases effectively, semantic heterogeneities have to be detected and resolved. To solve this problem, we propose architecture for managing metadata and metadata schema using a metadata registry.

Maximizing Metadata: Embedded Metadata Tools [PDF]
Archives, libraries, museums, businesses, and individuals have fully embraced the digital era and the proliferation of digital assets abound. The challenge is creating, managing, storing, and sharing these assets. One way to make managing your digital files easier is by using the power of embedded metadata, which encodes data about the digital asset ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Provenance Description of Metadata Vocabularies for the Long-term Maintenance of Metadata
The purpose of this paper is to discuss provenance description of metadata terms and metadata vocabularies as a set of metadata terms. Provenance is crucial information to keep track of changes of metadata terms and metadata vocabularies for their ...

A Metadata Prefetching Strategy Based on Provenance Information [PDF]
In distributed file systems, metadata prefetching can reduce the response latency of metadata server.Existing metadata prefetching strategies prefetch metadata according to its past file access pattern, without considering the correlations between process ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.
