Development of crack-less and deformation-resistant electroplated Ni/electroless Ni/Pt/Ag metallization layers for Ag-sintered joint during a harsh thermal shock

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2022
Aiming for a suitable die-attached substrate for Ag-sintered joint technology during harsh operating environment, three surface finishes of sputtered Ti/Ag- layers, electroless Ni-/Pt-/Ag- layers, and electroplated Ni-/electroless Ni-/Pt-/Ag- layers were

Metal Preferences and Metallation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 2014
The metal binding preferences of most metalloproteins do not match their metal requirements. Thus, metallation of an estimated 30% of metalloenzymes is aided by metal delivery systems, with ∼ 25% acquiring preassembled metal cofactors. The remaining ∼ 70% are presumed to compete for metals from buffered metal pools.

Metal to Orthogonal Metal Transition* [PDF]

open access: yesChinese Physics Letters, 2020
Orthogonal metal is a new quantum metallic state that conducts electricity but acquires no Fermi surface (FS) or quasiparticles, and hence orthogonal to the established paradigm of Landau’s Fermi-liquid (FL). Such a state may hold the key of understanding the perplexing experimental observations of quantum metals that are beyond FL ...

Investigation of Two-Step Metallization Process of Plastic 3D Prints Fabricated by SLA Method [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2018
This paper presents the results of experiments on metallization of plastic elements produced using 3D printing technology from the light-hardened resins. The obtained coatings were bimetallic (Cu/Ni).

The mechanism behind SnO metallization under high pressure

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
SnO is known to undergo metallization at ∼ 5 GPa while retaining its tetragonal symmetry. However, the mechanism of this metallization remains speculative.
