Methyl 2-(4-ferrocenylbenzamido)thiophene-3-carboxylate and ethyl 2-(4-ferrocenylbenzamido)-1,3-thiazole-4-acetate, a unique ferrocen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The conformations and hydrogen bonding in the thiophene and thiazole title compounds, [Fe(C₅H₅)(C₂₀H₁₄NO₃S)], (I), and [Fe(C₅H₅)(C₁₉H₁₇N₂O₃S)], (II), are discussed.

Six-coordinated half-metallocene catalyst for ethylene polymerization and its mechanism study

open access: yesGiant
The demand for catalysts capable of enabling olefin polymerization at elevated temperatures to meet industrial requirements continues to grow. Among emerging candidates, novel six-coordinated half-metallocene catalysts, which combine the advantages of ...

One‐Dimensional Materials Supported in Two‐Dimensional Van der Waals Metal–Organic Frameworks with Optical Anisotropy Switching via Twist‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

Advantages of Group 4 Metallocene Bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene Complexes as Metallocene Sources Towards Other Synthetically used Systems

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2019
Active species for synthetic and catalytic applications are formed from well defined complexes or mixtures of compounds. For group 4 metallocenes, three pathways for the formation of the reactive complex fragment [Cp′2M] are known: (i) reductive mixtures

Synthesis and Characterization of Cerium(IV) Metallocenes

open access: yesInorganics, 2015
By applying a salt metathesis approach between Ce(OtBu3)2(NO3)2(THF)2 and the potassium salts of mono- and ditrimethylsilyl substituted cyclopentadienes, we were able to isolate two new Ce(IV) metallocenes, including to the best of our knowledge, the ...

Versatile Coordination of Cyclopentadienyl-Arene Ligands and Its Role in Titanium-Catalyzed Ethylene Trimerization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Cationic titanium(IV) complexes with ansa-(η5-cyclopentadienyl,η6-arene) ligands were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The strength of the metal-arene interaction in these systems was studied by variable-temperature NMR ...

A base-free synthetic route to anti-bimetallic lanthanide pentalene complexes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We report the synthesis and structural characterisation of three homobimetallic complexes featuring divalent lanthanide metals (Ln = Yb, Eu and Sm) bridged by the silylated pentalene ligand [1,4-{SiiPr3}2C8H4]2− (= Pn†).

Photoelectron spectra of metallocenes

open access: yesJournal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, 1980
Abstract The He(II) spectra of the unsubstituted metallocenes {M(η-C5H5)2}, M  V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni and Ru, and of {Mn(η-C5H4Me)2} are reported; both He(I) and He(II) spectra of some decamethylmetallocenes {M(η-C5Me5)2}, where M  Mg, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co and Ni, are also given.

Titanocene / cyclodextrin supramolecular systems: a theoretical approach

open access: yesChemistry Central Journal, 2012
Background Recently, various metallocenes were synthesized and analyzed by biological activity point of view (such as antiproliferative properties): ruthenocenes, cobaltoceniums, titanocenes, zirconocenes, vanadocenes, niobocenes, molibdocenes etc.
