Reducing carbon footprint of metered-dose inhalers
Fluorinated propellants used in asthma inhalers have global warming potential in excess of 1400 kg CO2 equivalent. Hence, these propellants must be replaced with low-global warming potential alternatives for environmental and economic reasons.
