Validation of Computational Methods
2016In this chapter, we provide an overview of how (Quantitative) Structure Activity Relationships, (Q)SARs, are validated and applied for regulatory purposes. We outline how chemical categories are derived to facilitate endpoint specific read-across using tools such as the OECD QSAR Toolbox and discuss some of the current difficulties in addressing the ...

Practical method validation: Validation sufficient for an analysis method
Mikrochimica Acta, 1998Validation of an analysis method depends on the purpose of the method, the chosen technique and the procedure in question. Methods are used for different research, product development, process control and quality control purposes. The human and economical importance of results vary. Each of the techniques used, such as chromatography-(HPLC, HRGC, TLC),

Validation of the revised STIr method
Speech Communication, 2002Summary: The revised model for the speech transmission index (STI\(_{r}\)), Speech Communication 28 (1999) 109), was validated with an independent set of 68 test conditions. For a subset of 18 conditions, including only additive noise and band-pass limiting, it was verified that the STI\(_{r}\) provides a good prediction of the CVC-word score.

In Part II we have introduced the field-theoretic method of study of phase transformations and explored many of its properties. We saw how it can help us better understand the transformations at equilibrium and in dynamics. As materials science is moving into a new era of quantitative modeling and design of real materials, it is important to validate ...

This chapter comprises the validation of the method. The aim of the validation is to provide empirical evidence for the results presented. Therefore, the impact model of the research is presented, supplemented by a corresponding hypothesis for the supporting effect of the method. This chapter also describes the research design for the validation study,

Method validation in the bioanalytical laboratory
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 1990Bioanalytical methods, based on a variety of physico-chemical and biological techniques such as chromatography, immunoassay and mass spectrometry, must be validated prior to and during use to engender confidence in the results generated. The fundamental criteria for assessing the reliability and overall performance of a bioanalytical method are: the ...

Methods validation: AOAC’s three validation systems
Accreditation and Quality Assurance, 1998Validated methods of analysis are needed for many purposes: enforcement of regulations, import/export control, in accredited laboratories, academia, institutions. The AOAC INTERNATIONAL Official Methods Program is designed to provide fully validated methods of analysis, based on interlaboratory testing by a minimum of eight laboratories.
