The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Ionospheric precursors to scintillation activity

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 2014
Ionospheric scintillation is the rapid fluctuation of both phase and amplitude of trans-ionospheric radio waves due to small scale electron density irregularities in the ionosphere.

Information Relaying Methods in VANET: Algorithms, Standards and Tests

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
This paper considers information transmission issue observed in a large scale test of cellular-based vehicular to everything (C-V2X) technology in China, which is the information blockage for the vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) wireless communication. With such

Algorithms for the Nonclassical Method of Symmetry Reductions [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1994
In this article we present first an algorithm for calculating the determining equations associated with so-called ``nonclassical method'' of symmetry reductions (a la Bluman and Cole) for systems of partial differentail equations. This algorithm requires significantly less computation time than that standardly used, and avoids many of the difficulties ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

The Comparison of Tree-Sibling Time Consistent Phylogenetic Networks Is Graph Isomorphism-Complete

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Several polynomial time computable metrics on the class of semibinary tree-sibling time consistent phylogenetic networks are available in the literature; in particular, the problem of deciding if two networks of this kind are isomorphic is in P.

Parallel Algorithms for the Spectral Transform Method [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 1997
Summary: The spectral transform method is a standard numerical technique for solving partial differential equations on a sphere and is widely used in atmospheric circulation models. Recent research has identified several promising algorithms for implementing this method on massively parallel computers; however, no detailed comparison of the different ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Improved approximation algorithms for optimization problems in graphs with superlogarithmic treewidth

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we present two novel generic schemes for approximation algorithms for optimization to partial k-trees. Our first scheme yields deterministic polynomialtime algorithms achieving typically an approximation factor of k/ log n, where k
