Alternative methods for solving nonlinear two-point boundary value problems
In this sequel, the numerical solution of nonlinear two-point boundary value problems (NTBVPs) for ordinary differential equations (ODEs) is found by Bezier curve method (BCM) and orthonormal Bernstein polynomials (OBPs). OBPs will be constructed by Gram-

Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for Solving Acoustic Problems [PDF]
Parciální diferenciální rovnice hrají důležitou v inženýrských aplikacích. Často je možné tyto rovnice řešit pouze přibližně, tj. numericky. Z toho důvodu vzniklo množství diskretizačních metod pro řešení těchto rovnic.

Decentralized Control of Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes using Belief Space Macro-actions [PDF]
The focus of this paper is on solving multi-robot planning problems in continuous spaces with partial observability. Decentralized partially observable Markov decision processes (Dec-POMDPs) are general models for multi-robot coordination problems, but ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Simple methods of engineering calculation for solving heat transfer problems
There are well‐known numerical methods for solving the initial‐boundary value problems for partial differential equations. We mention only some of them: finite difference method (FDM), finite element method (FEM), boundary element method (BEM), Galerkin ...

Numerical Methods for Solving Convection-Diffusion Problems [PDF]
Convection-diffusion equations provide the basis for describing heat and mass transfer phenomena as well as processes of continuum mechanics. To handle flows in porous media, the fundamental issue is to model correctly the convective transport of ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Using Local Search Methods for Solving Two Multi-Criteria Machine Scheduling Problems
In this paper, we have improved solutions for two of the Multi-Criteria Machine Scheduling Problems (MCMSP). These problems are to maximize early jobs time and range of lateness jobs times (1//(E_max,R_L ), and the second problem is maximum tardy jobs ...
