UNIMOLECULAR REACTIONS OF IONIZED METHYL BUTENYL ETHERS

open access: yes
The reactions of metastable C4H7OCH3.+ radical cations generated by ionization of methyl ethers derived from stable butenols have been investigated by means of H-2- and C-13-labeling experiments, kinetic energy release measurements and analysis of ...

Directed Amination of Aryl Methyl Ethers Mediated by Ti(NMe2)4 at Room Temperature

open access: yes, 2015
An efficient C–O amination of aryl methyl ethers has been achieved. This transformation proceeds via imine-directed Ti(IV)-mediated cross-coupling reactions between aryl methyl ethers and Ti(NR2)4 at room temperature, straightforwardly leading to a ...

Cucurbit[8]Uril Achieved Single‐Molecule Chiral Transfer to Supramolecular Circularly Polarized Luminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A single‐molecule cascade supramolecular system comprising L/D‐FPy, CB[8], and SC4AD serves as an efficient light‐harvesting platform. It facilitates cascade energy transfer and chiral transfer to acceptor dyes. Co‐assembly with a PVA matrix produces a multicolor solid film that exhibits enhanced luminescence dissymmetry factors (glum), enabling ...

Localizable Fluorescent Metal Ion Indicators With Tunable Colors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A modular platform enables the generation of fluorescent metal ion indicators with tunable emission colors and precise subcellular localization. Conjugation to self‐labeling proteins yields bright, color‐tunable potassium probes that permit wash‐free live‐cell imaging, revealing dynamic potassium efflux in stimulated neurons.

Facial-selective allylation of methyl ketones for the asymmetric synthesis of tertiary homoallylic ethers

open access: yes, 2004
The stereoselective allylation of methyl ketones is described to give tertiary homoallylic ethers, which can easily be transformed into homoallylic alcohols by a Birch reduction.

Ultra‐Low Intensity Continuous Wave Laser Ablation Propulsion With Graphene‐Engineered Wood

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Graphene delignified wood converts continuous wave laser energy into thrust. Laser propulsion experiments in vacuum reveal the lowest laser ablation threshold intensities and the greatest density‐normalized specific impulse in literature. The results highlight graphene delignified wood as a potential efficient, sustainable, strong, and lightweight ...

MASS-SPECTRA OF ALKENYL METHYL ETHERS

open access: yes
Electron impact ionization mass spectra of numerous alkenyl methyl ethers C(n)H2n-1OCH3 (n = 3-6) recorded under normal (4 kV, 70 eV, 175-degrees-C) and low-energy, low-temperature (8 kV, 12 eV, 75-degrees-C) conditions are reported. The influence of the
