Atroposelective Construction of Axially Chiral Tetraarylethenes Via NHC‐Catalyzed Desymmetrization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the first NHC‐catalyzed atroposelective synthesis of axially chiral TAEs via oxidative desymmetrization of prochiral TAE dialdehydes. This catalytic strategy operates under mild conditions and accommodates a broad range of phenolic and nitrogen nucleophiles, delivering diverse axially chiral TAEs in good yields and up to 99% ee.

Chlorosulfination With Thionyl Chloride of Aromatic Methyl Ethers Containing Other Functional Groups

open access: yes, 1992
Further studies on the direct chlorosulfination with thionyl chloride of aromatic methyl ethers are described. In some cases (e.g. 1,6-dimethoxynaphthalene, 1,2,4 trimethoxybenzene, ethyl 3,5- and 3,7-dimethoxy-2-naphthoate, 3,5-dimethoxyphenyl benzoate)

Rational Design of Weakly‐Solvating Molecules for Salt‐In‐Pre‐Ionic‐Liquid Electrolytes for Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The weakly‐solvating TFMSPyr electrolyte tailors the Li+ solvation structure by suppressing solvent coordination and promoting anion‐dominated solvation. This unique solvation environment induces preferential anion decomposition at electrode interfaces, forming robust inorganic rich S/CEI.

N–H•••O hydrogen bonding. An FT-IR, NIR study of N-methylformamide–ether systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2010
This paper reports the results of an FT-IR and NIR study of N-methylformamide in carbon tetrachloride solution in presence of ethers as the O--electron donors, i.e., diethyl ether (DEE), diisopropyl ether (DiPE), methyl t--butyl ether (MtBE), dibutyl ...

Gold-Catalyzed Rearrangement of (Silylcyclopropenyl)methyl Ethers into (Silylmethylene)cyclopropanes

open access: yes, 2016
International audienceMethoxymethyl ethers derived from 2-(dimethylphenylsilyl)cycloprop-1-enyl carbinols undergo gold-catalyzed rearrangement leading to [(Z)-(dimethylphenylsilyl)methylene]cyclopropanes in moderate to high yields with methyl formate as ...

Mechanism‐Informed Machine Learning Enables Discovery of Oncolytic Peptides for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MISPOP integrates ensemble learning with membrane‐active physicochemical priors to identify Dermaseptin‐S9, a natural oncolytic peptide that disrupts tumor membranes, triggers immunogenic cell death, and shows strong antitumor activity. The study illustrates a mechanism‐informed route from peptide sequence data to cancer immunotherapy leads.

Mass spectra of steroidal alkyl ethers-I

open access: yes, 1972
The mass spectral fragmentation of saturated and unsaturated steroidal methyl and ethyl ethers and ethers of 4,4-dimethyl steroids are studied and compared to the fragmentation of steroidal alcohols, trimethylsilyl ethers and ethylene ketals.

Photocatalytic Synthesis of Pentafluorosulfanyl Ketones, Acetals, and BCP Motifs Utilizing SF6

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A photocatalytic single electron reduction strategy is reported for the activation and valorization of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), a potent greenhouse gas. Under mild conditions, SF6 is reduced to generate pentafluorosulfanyl (SF5) radicals, enabling direct access to pentafluorosulfanyl ketones, acetals, and BCP motifs.

Gas chromatographic separation of linoleic acid hydroperoxides as trimethylsilyl ethers of methyl hydroxystearates

open access: yes, 1971
The primary products, 9- and 13-hydroperoxy-octadecadienoic acids, from lipoxygenase catalyzed oxidation of linoleic acid, were converted into the trimethylsilyl ethers of methyl 9- and 13-hydroxystearates which were completely separated by gas ...
