Encapsulating Cu nanoparticles within MIL-101 for efficient and selective N-methylation of amines using CO2/H2

open access: yesJournal of CO2 Utilization
The use of CO2/H2 for amine N-methylation provides a green and sustainable pathway for CO2 utilization and the production of N-methylamines. However, the research on advanced catalysts still poses a challenge.

Synthesis and Evaluation of Aromatic Sulfonamide and Disulfonamide Derivatives as Dengue Virus NS3–NS5 Interaction Inhibitors

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
A synthetic methodology for the preparation of asymmetric benzene‐1,4‐disulfonamides was developed and applied to generate potential anti‐dengue virus (DENV) compounds. Guided by computer‐assisted structural rationalization, we designed synthetically more accessible analogs with reduced toxicity that interact with the DENV NS5 domain, thereby ...

Quantum Chemical Feasibility Study of Methylamines as Nitrogen Precursors in Chemical Vapor Deposition

open access: yes, 2015
The possibility of using methylamines instead of ammonia as a nitrogen precursor for the CVD of nitrides is studied using quantum chemical computations of reaction energies: reaction electronic energy (Δ) reaction enthalpy (Δ) and reaction free energy (Δ)

Dehydrogenative Coupling of Hydrosilanes With Alcohols and Amines: A Concerted Asynchronous Mechanism With an Early Hidden Reaction Intermediate

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 126, Issue 12, June 15, 2026.
DFT reveals a concerted asynchronous mechanism with a hidden reaction intermediate in hydrosilane coupling (HRI), which occurs prior to a pentacoordinated silicon transition state. This mechanism indicates that the concerted asynchronous SiO bond formation and SiH bond cleavage precede the HH bond formation.

Chemical Syntheses of 3′ and 5′ Phosphorylated Oligonucleotides: An Overview

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 21, 4 June 2026.
This review provides an overview of the various chemical methods employed in the synthesis of oligonucleotides bearing a phosphate group at their 3′ or 5′ end. Notably, it presents modified phosphoramidites and supports developed for this purpose. Oligonucleotides (ON) with a phosphate monoester group at their 3′ or 5′ end have applications in many ...

Dual‐Site Catalysis in Electrocatalytic C–N Coupling: Challenges and Design Principles

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
This review examines dual‐site catalysis in electrocatalytic C─N coupling through four recurring challenges: energetic barriers, kinetic mismatch, selectivity loss, and systemic constraints. It highlights how rationally designed dual‐site catalysts cooperatively lower reaction barriers, synchronize intermediate generation, suppress competing pathways ...

Multiphase detection of crucial biological amines using a 2,4,6-tristyrylpyrylium dye

open access: yesCommunications Chemistry
The strong electrophilicity of arylpyrylium salts was recognized for the colorimetric detection of vital amine analytes, limited to ammonia or methylamines and putrescine as biogenic amine.
