Déshydrogénation du méthylcyclohexane sur le catalyseur industriel Pt-Sn/Al2O3 Dehydrogenation of Methylcyclohexane on the Pt-Sn/Al2o3 Industrial Catalyst

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2006
Une solution au problème de l'utilisation de l'hydrogène comme carburant dans les moyens de transport consiste à le produire in situ par déshydrogénation de naphtène cyclohexanique, le méthylcyclohexane par exemple.

Radiolysis of Methylcyclohexane. II. The Effect of Cumene on Hydrogen Formation from γ-Irradiated Methylcyclohexane [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1969
Abstract The effect of cumene on the hydrogen yields from methylcyclohexane γ-irradiated at 100, 20, −72, −120 and −196°C has been investigated. Cumene did not compete with N2O for capturing electrons in methylcyclohexane and the yield of thermal H atoms in methylcyclohexane, determined by use of ethylene as an H atom scavenger, was ...

Investigation and Evaluation of Wax Deposition Treatment Methods in Large Natural Gas Plants

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Problem: Wax blockage (Biphenyl, PAHs) in low‐temperature units crippled plant capacity. Solution: A novel Circulating Light Hydrocarbon Injection technology. Mechanism: Light hydrocarbons disrupt wax crystals via “like dissolves like” and are continuously recovered. Outcome: 1. Throughput dropped from 10 MMscmd to 3 MMscmd 2.

Lower temperature dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane by membrane-assisted equilibrium shift

open access: yes, 2006
Selective removal of hydrogen by the palladium membrane of novel configuration shifts the equilibrium in the dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane allowing a continuous operation at below the critical temperature of palladium α-β phase transition.Peer ...

The influence of ammonia on the laminar burning velocities of methylcyclohexane and toluene : An experimental and kinetic modeling study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Laminar burning velocities of methylcyclohexane and toluene blended with ammonia have been determined using the heat flux method at atmospheric pressure and initial temperature of 338 K, over equivalence ratios ranging from 0.7 to 1.3 and ammonia ...

A walk in the park—Identifying healthy greenspaces using scents

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
As urbanisation accelerates globally, access to nature is increasingly recognised as vital for public health and wellbeing. We captured and analysed plant‐emitted airborne ‘scent signatures’ across Oxford's urban greenspaces to assess their potential health relevance.

A Scalable Protocol for the Regioselective Alkylation of 2-Methylcyclohexane-1,3-dione with Unactivated sp3 Electrophiles

open access: yes, 2015
A method for the C-selective alkylation of 2-methylcyclohexane-1,3-dione with unactivated sp3 electrophiles is accomplished via alkylation and subsequent deprotection of the derived ketodimethyl hydrazones.

Polysilane‐Supported Nickel as an Efficient Catalyst for the Hydrogenation of Aromatic Compounds†

open access: yesChinese Journal of Chemistry, Volume 44, Issue 14, Page 2277-2282, 15 July 2026.
A Ni/Si catalyst obtained from the reaction of poly(monohydro)silane with Ni(cod)2 serves as an effective heterogeneous catalyst for the hydrogenation of arenes under reaction conditions that are significantly milder than those required for conventional nickel‐based catalysts such as Raney nickel.
