Methylhydrazine derivatives, a new class of cytotoxic agents

Experientia, 1963

Conformational analysis of 1-acetyl-2-methylhydrazine

Journal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 2001
Abstract The conformational analysis of 1-acetyl-2-methylhydrazine was performed using DNMR spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations (B3LYP/6-31+G*, AM1 and PM3). Activation barrier for interconversion of Z and E conformers was measured to be 16.1 kcal/mol by DNMR.

Oxidative demethylation of N-methylhydrazines by rat liver microsomes

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1969
Abstract Certain N -methylhydrazines were found to be oxidatively demethylated to yield formaldehyde by rat liver microsomal preparations. Substrates for the N -demethylase were found to be monomethylhydrazine, 1,1-dimethylhydrazine, 1,2-dimethylhydrazine, Procarbazine, and the azo derivative of Procarbazine.

Mutagen and Oncogen Study of Methylhydrazine

1976
Abstract : A three tier test was organized into a matrix of assays employing microbial cells, mammalian cells in culture, and in vivo experiments in rats and mice. Methylhydrazine (MH) was mutagenic for Salmonella typhimurium TA-1535 in suspension tests. Results from all other assays conducted as part of this evaluation were considered to be negative.
