Remarks on Some Recent Fixed Point Results on Quaternion-Valued Metric Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Very recently, Ahmed et al. introduced the notion of quaternion-valued metric as a generalization of metric and proved a common fixed point theorem in the context of quaternion-valued metric space.

Weighted Sobolev Spaces on Metric Measure Spaces

open access: yes, 2015
We investigate weighted Sobolev spaces on metric measure spaces $(X,d,m)$. Denoting by $\rho$ the weight function, we compare the space $W^{1,p}(X,d,\rho m)$ (which always concides with the closure $H^{1,p}(X,d,\rho m)$ of Lipschitz functions) with the ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Multiplicative modular metric spaces and some fixed point results

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
This study aims to introduce a novel type of metric, defined as the w-multiplicative modular metric space, which becomes an expanded idea that includes two metric spaces. We present and demonstrate some of this new space’s topological properties. We also

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Characterization of non-linear Besov spaces

open access: yes, 2019
The canonical generalizations of two classical norms on Besov spaces are shown to be equivalent even in the case of non-linear Besov spaces, that is, function spaces consisting of functions taking values in a metric space and equipped with some Besov ...

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.
