Characterization of precipitates in aged Mg-4 wt%Zn alloy
Materials Today Communications, 2021Abstract The precipitation phases play a critical role in affecting the properties of age-hardenable Mg alloys. The structure and morphology of the intragranular and intergranular precipitates in aged Mg-4 wt%Zn alloy were investigated by using transmission electron microscope (TEM) and high resolution TEM (HRTEM).

Damping Capacities of Mg-4 Pct Zn-(0-0.5) Pct Ca Biomedical Alloys
Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, 2016This study is intended to investigate the damping capacities of cast Mg-4 pct Zn-(0-0.5) pct Ca biomedical alloys. The Mg-4 pct Zn-(0-0.5) pct Ca alloys had similar damping levels regardless of Ca content in the strain-amplitude-independent region, but showed a decreasing tendency with an increase in Ca content in the strain-amplitude-dependent region.

Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, 2014
Background The treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has been transformed by the development of novel agents targeting biological factors. The idea of “treat to target” has emerged. Early aggressive treatment with methotrexate (MTX) and tumor necrosis factor inhibitors can lead to clinical, radiological and even functional remission in a large ...

The mechanical anisotropy of directionally solidified Mg-4 wt.% Zn alloy under compression test
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2019Abstract The mechanical anisotropy of directionally solidified Mg-4 wt.% Zn alloy was studied under compression test at room temperature. The results show that directionally solidified Mg-4 wt.% Zn has higher compression strength and work hardening rates when compression axis is parallel to the growth direction, which is mainly due to the formation ...

Production and characterization of Mg-4% Zn infiltrated titanium alloy for bio medical applications
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019Titanium alloys play a major role in making bio-implants such as bone replacements etc. However, their elastic modulus is very high compared with human bone and also their biocompatibility is not so good. The difference in the young’s modulus leads to stress shielding.
