Class I dependence of the development of CD4+ CD8- NK1.1+ thymocytes. [PDF]
A small subset of functionally active CD4+ CD8- thymocytes express the NK1.1 marker, as do most CD4-CD8- NK1.1+ thymocytes. Previous studies have failed to implicate a role for major histocompatibility complex (MHC) or related molecules in the selection ...

Regulation of MHC Class II-Peptide Complex Expression by Ubiquitination
MHC class II (MHC-II) molecules are present on antigen presenting cells (APCs) and these molecules function by binding antigenic peptides and presenting these peptides to antigen-specific CD4+ T cells.

This correspondence concerns a publication by Malmstrøm et al. in Nature Genetics in October 2016. Malmstrøm et al. made an important contribution to fish phylogeny research by using low-coverage genome sequencing for comparison of 66 teleost (modern ...

Murine cytomegalovirus degrades MHC class II to colonize the salivary glands.
Cytomegaloviruses (CMVs) persistently and systemically infect the myeloid cells of immunocompetent hosts. Persistence implies immune evasion, and CMVs evade CD8+ T cells by inhibiting MHC class I-restricted antigen presentation.

Major histocompatibility complex class I involvement in the rejection of allogeneic erythrocytes in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) [PDF]
Major histocompatibility complex genes are thought to be involved in allogeneic graft rejection but not many reports are available on their functional analysis in fish.
