MHD Simulation Of Laboratory Jets [PDF]
We performed numerical MHD simulation of the laboratory experiment for creating plasma jets on a NEODIM laser installation. In this experiment, the plasma ejection is formed as a result of the action of a powerful laser on the target. To describe these processes and simulate plasma flow, we chose a numerical method, boundary and initial conditions.

An Evolution and Eruption of the Coronal Magnetic Field through a Data-driven MHD Simulation
We present a newly developed data-driven magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulation code under a zero- β approximation based on a method proposed by Hayashi et al. 2018 and 2019.

Numerical modeling of solar wind and coronal mass ejection in the inner heliosphere: A review
The predictions of plasma parameters in the interplanetary medium are the core of space weather forecasts, and the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) numerical simulation is an important tool in the prediction of plasma parameters.

As a Matter of Dynamical Range – Scale Dependent Energy Dynamics in MHD Turbulence
Magnetized turbulence is ubiquitous in many astrophysical and terrestrial plasmas but no universal theory exists. Even the detailed energy dynamics in magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence are still not well understood.

MHD Simulations of Dense Core Collision
Abstract We investigated the effect of magnetic fields on the collision process between dense molecular cores. We performed three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic simulations of collisions between two self-gravitating cores using the Enzo adaptive mesh refinement code.

Estimating a planetary magnetic field with time-dependent global MHD simulations using an adjoint approach [PDF]
The interaction of the solar wind with a planetary magnetic field causes electrical currents that modify the magnetic field distribution around the planet.

Global MHD simulations of Neptune's magnetosphere [PDF]
AbstractA global magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation has been performed in order to investigate the outer boundaries of Neptune's magnetosphere at the time of Voyager 2's flyby in 1989 and to better understand the dynamics of magnetospheres formed by highly inclined planetary dipoles.

3D MHD simulation of pressure drop and fluctuation in electromagnetic pump flow
Electromagnetic (EM) pumps, which drive liquid metals by electromagnetic force for Fast Reactor, had been developed. Annular Linear Induction Pumps (ALIPs) are one of EM pumps.

Electron Anisotropies in Magnetotail Dipolarization Events
Anisotropic electron distributions can be a major source of free energy for the generation of microinstabilities and waves. Here we investigate specifically anisotropies of the suprathermal electrons associated with dipolarization events in the ...
