Thermosensitive Nanostructured Coacervates Developed by Mixing ABA‐ and AB‐Block Copolymers and Their Unique Sustained Release of Nano‐Micelles in a Regulated Manner

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Polyion complex micelles composed of blends of ABA and AB block copolymers can form coacervates with a hexagonally packed cylinder nanostructure after heating. The resulting coacervates can release the micelles under physiological conditions in a zero‐order kinetics, possessing cargo proteins.

Kinetics of Micellization and Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation in Dilute Block Copolymer Solutions

open access: yes, 2023
A lattice theory for block copolymer solutions near the boundary between the micellization and liquid–liquid phase separation regions proposes a new kinetic process of micellization where small concentrated-phase droplets are first formed and then ...

Stimuli‐Responsive Silsesquioxane Nanozymes for Organocatalysis in Water and Prodrug Activation in Cells

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 21, 18 May 2026.
Amino‐bearing silsesquioxanes are water‐stable nanozymes that exhibit aggregation‐ and disaggregation‐dependent catalysis and can be applied to intracellular prodrug activation for cancer therapy. ABSTRACT Synthetic nanozymes have emerged as promising alternatives to natural enzymes for catalytic and therapeutic applications, yet their limited ...

Compatibility of personal care thickening polymers in sulphate‐free surfactants

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
Phase behaviour for alpha olefin sulfonate surfactant 10–15 wt% combined with 1 wt% sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, clearly indicating the sensitivity in miscibility when adding various levels of background salt. Abstract Objective Formulators today know that when traditional surfactants and polymers are replaced new problems occur. What was before a ‘

Three eras of micellization

open access: yes, 2021
Micellization is the precipitation of lipids from aqueous solution into aggregates with a broad distribution of aggregation number. Three eras of micellization are characterized in a simple kinetic model of Becker-Döring type.

The influence of cohumulone on thermodynamics of micellization of alkyl trimethyl ammonium bromide surfactants

open access: hybrid
In the present study, micellization of three cationic surfactants, dodecytrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB), tetradecytrimethylammonium bromide (TTAB), and hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HTAB), in the presence and absence of cohumulone (CH), was ...

Reverse Thermo‐Responsive Nanoshells: The Interplay Between the Composition of Their Building Blocks and Their Temperature‐Responsive Morphing

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Chemistry, Volume 66, Issue 4, July 2026.
The graphical abstract shows hollow polymeric nanoshells from crosslinked PEO–PPO–PEO with methacrylate end‐groups. These shells expand at low temperatures (6 °C, ∼310 nm) and shrink at 37 °C (∼35 nm)—a 700‐fold volume change. This reverse thermo‐responsiveness, driven by polymer coiling–uncoiling, enables potential biomedical applications like ...

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 44, 1 June 2026.
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

Thermodynamics of micellization of cholic acid based facial amphiphiles carrying three permanent ionic head groups

open access: yes, 2003
This paper describes a series of cholic acid based facial amphiphiles carrying three ionic headgroups. Their micellization behavior in water was studied as a function of spacer length and alkyl tail length: both were found to have a small influence on ...
