Bench‐to‐Bedside Translation of Self‐Healing Colloidal Hydrogels as Next Generation Design of Flowable Hemostatic Matrix: From Preclinical Evaluation to Human Clinical Trials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Self‐healing materials represent a paradigm shift in designing functional biomedical devices for drug delivery, tissue regeneration, and 3D bioprinting. However, their clinical translation remains limited by challenges such as insufficient mechanical strength, potential cytotoxicity from chemical modifications, and complex activation ...

Prednisolone impairs trabecular bone score changes in adolescents with 21-hydroxylase deficiency [PDF]

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Pediatrics
Background Individuals with 21-hydroxylase deficiency (21OHD) require lifelong glucocorticoid (GC) therapy, which increases their risk of fragility fractures.

Software-based microarchitectural attacks [PDF]

open access: yesit - Information Technology, 2018
Abstract Modern processors are highly optimized systems where every single cycle of computation time matters. Many optimizations depend on the data that is being processed. Microarchitectural attacks leak this data (side channels) or exploit physical imperfections to take control of the entire system (fault attacks).

The microarchitectural variability in the echinoid skeleton: a 3D geometrical and stiffness characterization of Paracentrotus lividus

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science
The sea urchin skeleton is a lightweight yet load-bearing hierarchical structure composed of calcitic plates with a species-specific three-dimensional (3D) trabecular meshwork known as stereom. Interestingly, the stereom architecture is extremely complex

Developmentally Inspired Bioprinting of Nascent Multicellular Human Heart Tissue Through in Situ Differentiation and Morphogenesis of iPSCs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A developmentally inspired bioprinting approach enables the fabrication of pluripotent tissues that undergo shape‐morphing and in situ cardiac lineage specification. This method employs embedded bioprinting to deposit iPSCs within soft granular hydrogels to create pluripotent tissue constructs that undergo cell‐mediated shape morphogenesis.

Senolytic Therapy as a Preventive Strategy for Spine Degeneration and Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cellular senescence promotes inflammation, tissue degeneration, and chronic back pain. In sparc‐null mice, early oral administration of the senolytic agents o‐vanillin and RG‐7112 reduced senescent cell burden and pro‐inflammatory SASP signaling across intervertebral discs, endplates, vertebral bone, and spinal cord.
