Lossless Microarray Image Compression by Hardware Array Compactor [PDF]
Microarray technology is a new and powerful tool for the concurrent monitoring of a large number of gene expressions. Each microarray experiment produces hundreds of images. Each digital image requires a large storage space. Hence, real-time processing of these images and transmission of them necessitates efficient and custom-made lossless compression ...

Protein microarrays containing nearly the entire yeast proteome have been constructed. They are typically prepared by overexpression and high-throughput purification and printing onto microscope slides. The arrays can be used to screen nearly the entire proteome in an unbiased fashion and have enormous utility for a variety of applications.

A temporal precedence based clustering method for gene expression microarray data [PDF]
Background: Time-course microarray experiments can produce useful data which can help in understanding the underlying dynamics of the system. Clustering is an important stage in microarray data analysis where the data is grouped together according to ...

Rasch-based high-dimensionality data reduction and class prediction with applications to microarray gene expression data [PDF]
Class prediction is an important application of microarray gene expression data analysis. The high-dimensionality of microarray data, where number of genes (variables) is very large compared to the number of samples (obser- vations), makes the application of many prediction techniques (e.g., logistic regression, discriminant analysis) difficult.
