All Callitrichidae have twins who are chimeras, but Callimico has singletons. We examined evidence of blood chimerism in the only known surviving Callimico twins, and found that they were non‐chimeric. This represents the first report of the absence of blood chimerism in twins of any callitrichid species.

Recentemente, os fatores reprodutivos foram estudados na esclerose sistêmica (ES) difusa e a gravidez não parece ser um fator de risco para a doença. A validade desses achados precisava ser confirmada na forma limitada.

46,XY/46,XY Chimerism: Prenatal Presentation and Postnatal Outcome
This study reports a rare case of same‐sex chimerism identified incidentally during prenatal screening, highlighting the importance of comprehensive genetic testing. The findings underscore the complexity of chimerism diagnosis and emphasize the need for increased awareness and research in this field.

Microchimerism and thyroid disorders: current knowledge and future prospects
This review will provide an overview of a novel phenomenon in medicine and endocrinology known as microchimerism (MC). MC is defined as the long-term presence of genetically distinct populations of cells in peripheral blood and tissues of individual ...

Perioperative donor bone marrow infusion augments chimerism in heart and lung transplant recipients [PDF]
Background.: We and others have demonstrated that a low level of donor cell chimerism was present for years after transplantation in tissues and peripheral blood of heart and lung recipients; it was associated, in the latter, with a lower incidence of ...

Microchimerism is the presence of cells from one individual in another genetically distinct individual. Pregnancy is the main cause of natural microchimerism through transplacental bi-directional cell trafficking between mother and fetus. In addition to a variety of cell-free substances, it is now well-recognized that some cells are also exchanged in ...

Non-inherited maternal antigens, pregnancy, and allotolerance
Non-inherited maternal antigens (NIMA) are those protein products derived from polymorphic genes that the mothers express but not the offspring. During normal human pregnancy, a bidirectional regulation occurs in such a way that the maternal immune ...

Pregnancy and the Risk for Cancer in Neurofibromatosis 1
ABSTRACT Background Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is associated with a high risk for cancer. Benign cutaneous neurofibromas of women with NF1 may increase in size and number during pregnancy. However, it is not known whether pregnancy affects the risk for cancer in NF1.

Here, a mouse foster nursing model was used to track milk cells in the pup over a period of 21 days. The foster nursing model consisted of wild‐type mice fostered by tdTomato+ dams, enabling maternal cell signal to be visualized in the pups. Flow cytometry data show that infant macrophages consume milk cell components, including extracellular vesicles,
