Fabricating a Pickering Stabilizer from Okara Dietary Fibre Particulates by Conjugating with Soy Protein Isolate via Maillard Reaction

open access: yesFoods, 2020
Okara is underutilized despite its numerous values explorable in food products. In this study, okara dietary fibre (ODF) was micronized and decorated with soy protein isolate (SPI) through a Maillard reaction by dry heating at 60 °C.

Micronization Effects on Structural, Functional, and Antioxidant Properties of Wheat Bran

open access: yesFoods, 2022
To explore the effect of micronization on the structural, functional, and antioxidant properties of wheat bran, wheat bran with mean particle size (D50) of 46.08, 34.29, 26.51, 26.35, and 26.05 μm were prepared by using an ultrafine pulverizer under ...

Effects of Micronization on Morphology and Functional Attributes of Radio Frequency Stabilized Brown Millet and Millet Bran

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
Brown millet and millet bran are rich in nutrients. After stabilization treatment, they are easy to store and transport. However, it is difficult for them to be accepted as food ingredients by consumers due to their poor texture and taste.

Micronization of Low-Salinity Baltic Sea Blue Mussels: Enhancing Whole-Biomass Utilization and Nutritional Viability

open access: yesFishes
The micronization of low-salinity Baltic Sea blue mussels (Mytilus edulis/trossulus) was investigated as a novel valorisation pathway to eliminate the need for labor-intensive meat–shell separation.

INVESTIGATION OF THE PHARMACO-TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF SOLID DISPERSIONS OF THIOCTIC ACID, OBTAINED BY MICRONIZATION [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Mechnikov's Institute, 2018
Introduction. Thioctic acid is used in the treatment of diseases that are characterized by lack of mitochondrial activity, which is responsible for the formation of free radicals. Widespread use of thioctic acid is due to the chemical structure.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
