In this retrospective cohort of 3487 patients with CRC, history of CCY was associated with significantly worse prognosis in patients with proximal CRC but not in those with distal CRC. This differential prognostic impact showed a statistically significant interaction between tumor location and history of CCY and remained robust after PSM.

Quantitative phase maps of single cells recorded in flow cytometry modality feed a hierarchical architecture of machine learning models for the label‐free identification of subtypes of ovarian cancer. The employment of a priori clinical information improves the classification performance, thus emulating the clinical application of liquid biopsy during ...

While the faithful transmission of genetic information requires a fidelity and stability of DNA that is involved in translation into proteins, it has become evident that a large part of noncoding DNA is organized in repeated sequences, which often exhibit a pronounced instability and dynamics.

ABSTRACT Hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma (HCCC) of the lung is an exceedingly rare salivary gland‐type neoplasm with limited cytomorphologic description. We report a case highlighting these features. A 3 mm incidental left‐airway lesion enlarged to 7 mm over 5 months, prompting radial endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)‐guided transbronchial biopsy. Touch

Abstract Genetic tumor risk syndromes (genturis) contribute substantially to the overall cancer burden and provide opportunities for early detection, prevention, and individualized treatment. Yet, many affected individuals remain undiagnosed due to restrictive testing criteria and challenges in variant interpretation.

The genetics of non-conventional wine yeasts: current knowledge and future challenges
Saccharomyces cerevisiae is by far the most widely used yeast in oenology. However, during the last decade, several other yeasts species has been purposed for winemaking as they could positively impact wine quality. Some of these non-conventional yeasts (

Living at genetic risk: The patient experience of Lynch syndrome
Abstract Lynch syndrome is a germline cancer predisposition syndrome caused by a variant in one of four genes. Lynch syndrome places individuals at significantly higher risk for a range of cancers, especially colorectal and endometrial. Depending on which gene is affected, the risk of ovarian, gastric, small bowel, pancreatic, biliary urothelial, brain,
