Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Microscopic Derivation of a Traffic Flow Model with a Bifurcation
The goal of the paper is a rigorous derivation of a macroscopic traffic flow model with a bifurcation or a local perturbation from a microscopic one. The microscopic model is a simple follow-the-leader with random parameters. The random parameters are used as a statistical description of the road taken by a vehicle and its law of motion.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

HetroTraffSim: A Macroscopic Heterogeneous Traffic Flow Simulator for Road Bottlenecks
Smart mobility is crucial for future smart cities. Traffic simulation software (TSS) is an important tool for efficient planning and management of road networks to achieve this goal. Many TSS tools have been developed for both microscopic and macroscopic

Stability analysis of microscopic models for traffic flow with lane changing
<p style='text-indent:20px;'>This paper investigates the mathematical modeling and the stability of multi-lane traffic in the microscopic scale, studying a model based on two interaction terms. To do this we propose simple lane changing conditions and we study the stability of the steady states starting from the model in the one-lane case and ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

A merging model for motorway traffic [PDF]
Motorway merging has long been regarded as a major source of conflicts and congestion on motorways. Traditional studies of merging behaviour are based on gap acceptance models developed mainly for urban intersections, which tend to oversimplify the very ...

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,
