Multi-Vehicle Tracking Using Microscopic Traffic Models
IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2019In this paper, the multi-vehicle tracking problem is revisited, with greater consideration being given to the interactions between vehicles. Traditionally, algorithms for tracking multiple vehicles in the multi-lane case assume that vehicles move independently of one another and that longitudinal and lateral vehicle dynamics are mutually independent ...

Reducing Excess Traffic in Urban Areas with Microscopic Traffic Modeling in SUMO
2018Increased vehicular traffic in dense urban areas is an issue of major concern. With more cars hitting the road, the inherent results are higher pollution levels and car accidents, shrinking of parking areas and severe traffic congestion. Attempts must be made to encourage the use of fewer cars.

A modeling framework for urban traffic systems microscopic simulation
Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory, 2010Abstract In this paper a modeling framework for urban traffic systems (UTS) is presented. The model, used for agent based micro-simulation, describes both the traffic network and dynamic entities, namely vehicles, traffic lights, and pedestrians.

Validation of microscopic traffic simulation models
This study examines the calibration and validation of an AIMSUN microscopic traffic simulation model of the Western Brisbane Commuting Corridor. In particular, the study focuses on the two areas of data collection/collation and comparison of model outputs with field data.openaire +2 more sources
