Microstrip circuit design using neural networks

1993 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2002
A novel technique that uses neural networks to efficiently design microstrip circuits is presented. A full-wave analysis is employed to rigorously characterize a microstrip circuit, which results in a finite set of pairs of input and output parameter vectors.

Microstrip Circuit Elements on Cylindrical Substrates

1987 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1987
Dynamic Models for a variety of microstrip circuits, microstrip discontinuities, and general conductor elements printed on cylindrical substrates are presented. The models accounts for radiation loss and surface wave effects. The dispersion models include the transverse current component and provide error criteria when it is omitted.

Equivalent circuit for microstrip bandpass filter

2016 2nd International Conference on Wireless and Telematics (ICWT), 2016
Filter is an electromagnetic device that is designed to select signals based on frequency response. Filter can be easily analyzed by the general theory of equivalent circuit which refers to a theoretical circuit that retains all of the electrical characteristics of a given circuit.

Practical design of microstrip mixer circuits

Proceedings of the 32nd Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003
Microwave balanced diode and GaAs MESFET mixers have been designed and simulated using a computer-aided procedure. Microstrip circuit implementations of these mixers have been built. Two types of microstrip couplers, branch-line and rat-race in ring form were implemented in the design of the diode mixers.

Equations for Microstrip Circuit Design

1975 5th European Microwave Conference, 1975
A method for determining the accuracy of computed impedance and wavelength data for microstrip is proposed. It is shown that the standard equations of Wheeler and Schneider have rather large errors. Revised equations for microstrip impedance and wavelength are given both for analysis and synthesis with accuracy better than 1%.

Equivalent Circuits of Microstrip Reflectarrays

IEEE International Workshop on Antenna Technology Small Antennas and Novel Metamaterials, 2006., 2006
Numerical research of scattering characteristics of printed reflectarrays with controllable loads is object of this paper. To calculate eigen values of a matrix of an equivalent superficial impedance tensor of microstrip impedance loads the empirical formula has been obtained.

Equivalent circuits for MIS microstrip discontinuities

IEEE Microwave and Guided Wave Letters, 1993
Metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) microstrip open-end and microstrip gap discontinuities are characterized by means of equivalent circuits consisting of capacitors and resistors. The circuit parameters of these components are obtained in terms of the complex excess charge densities existing on the conducting strips of the discontinuities.

Modelling SMD capacitor for microstrip circuits

Proceedings. Electrotechnical Conference Integrating Research, Industry and Education in Energy and Communication Engineering', 2003
Simple models and a parameter extraction technique for low-cost SMD capacitors mounted on microstrip lines are presented. The models are simple networks, easily implemented in currently available microwave CAD (computer-aided design) programs. Their element values are obtained from the results of vector network analyzer measurements on microstrip ...

Equivalent Capacitances of Microstrip Open Circuits

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1972
The integral equations that describe the charge distribution near an open-circuited microstrip end are formulated and subsequently solved by a projective method. The solution hinges on development of computationally efficient techniques for dealing with the singularities that occur by special quadrature formulas.

An active microstrip circuits lab course

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium 1997. Digest, 2002
We describe a laboratory course in active microstrip circuits at the University of Colorado at Boulder. This course emphasizes the design and measurements of microwave (900 MHz-10 GHz) active circuits at the senior/graduate level. Experiments and design projects are described.
