First‐In‐Human Study: Dose Expansion of E7130 in Urothelial Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
The dose escalation part of the first‐in‐human study of E7130 in patients with advanced solid tumors determined the Recommended Phase 2 Dose of E7130 (480 μg/m2 Q3W). The dose expansion part (presented here) examined safety/preliminary efficacy in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck and urothelial carcinoma.

Apparent diffusion coefficient and cerebral blood volume in brain gliomas: relation to tumor cell density and tumor microvessel density based on stereotactic biopsies.

open access: yes, 2008
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: MR imaging-based apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and regional cerebral blood volume (rCBV) measurements have been related respectively to both cell and microvessel density in brain tumors.

MiR‐375 in CAFs‐Derived EVs Promotes HCC Progression via Regulating RASA1 and May Potentially Serve as a Biomarker for HCC

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
CAFs could transfer EVs miR‐375 into endothelial cells with a low level of RASA1 and further promote EC angiogenesis. Plasma EVs miR‐375 have the potential values as a novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for HCC. ABSTRACT Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in the tumor microenvironment play an important role in cancer initiation and progression

Pulmonary microvessel density is a marker of angiogenesis in children after cavopulmonary anastomosis

open access: yes, 2000
Objective: Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations cause progressive cyanosis in children after cavopulmonary anastomosis and may be due to abnormal angiogenesis.

Dapagliflozin does not impair microvascular hemorheology in type 2 diabetes mellitus: A multicenter randomized controlled trial (D‐PATH study)

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract illustrating the study design, physiological rationale, and key findings of the D‐PATH trial. Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, lowers HbA1c and body weight while increasing hematocrit and erythropoietin levels. Although an elevated hematocrit could theoretically increase blood viscosity and impair microcirculatory flow, ex vivo ...

A Review on Image Processing and Fractal Analysis in Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders

open access: yesOral Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim The clinical evaluation of patients with oral potentially malignant disorders is primarily based on physical examination and observable clinical features. Clinical photographs play a key role in patient monitoring and help identify signs that may indicate malignant transformation.
