Subharmonic Shapiro steps and assisted tunneling in superconducting point contacts

open access: yes, 2001
We analyze the current in a superconducting point contact of arbitrary transmission in the presence of a microwave radiation. The interplay between the ac Josephson current and the microwave signal gives rise to Shapiro steps at voltages V = (m/n) \hbar \

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Backbone Engineering of Carbon‐Centered NHC‐Derived Diradicals: From Electronic State Tuning to High‐Performance Organic Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The open‐shell nature of diradicals facilitates charge separation, and compounds with moderate diradical character demonstrate remarkable potential in organic field‐effect transistors (OFET) applications due to their low reorganization energies for hole and electron transport.

Effects of dust storms on microwave radiation based on satellite observation and model simulation over the Taklamakan desert [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2008
Effects of dust particles on microwave radiation over the Taklamakan desert are studied with use of measurements from the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E) on the EOS Aqua satellite and a microwave radiation transfer model.

Exploring the Potential of Zero‐Dimensional Carbon Nanomaterials in Photoluminescent, Electrochemiluminescent and Electrochemical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical

Effect of photoions on the line shapes of the F\"orster resonance and microwave transitions in cold rubidium Rydberg atoms

open access: yes, 2012
Experiments on the spectroscopy of the F\"orster resonance Rb(37P)+Rb(37P) -> Rb(37S)+Rb(38S) and microwave transitions nP -> n'S, n'D between Rydberg states of cold Rb atoms in a magneto-optical trap have been performed.

Exploring the Potential of Microwave Annealing for Enhancing Si‐based GeSn Lasers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We explore low‐thermal‐budget microwave annealing to enhance the performance of group‐IV GeSn lasers on Si. Microwave annealing under optimal conditions can simultaneously relax unwanted compressive strain and enhance the material quality of the GeSn active layer, thereby reducing the threshold and increasing the laser operating temperature.

THE MICROWAVE IRRADIATION EFFECT ON THE FLOATABILITY OF MIXED SULPHIDE/OXIDE COPPER ORES

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 2021
Pre-treatment of copper sulphide and oxide ores using microwave radiation causes a difference in their floatability through change in the surface properties of the minerals.
