Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Meso-macro analysis of microwave-assisted double-indenter impact on rock-like materials

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
Given the constraints on explosives and in response to the national “dual carbon” strategic goals, a new method of microwave-assisted impact fragmentation of rock-like materials has broad prospects in hard-rock tunneling, concrete structure demolition ...

Spontaneous coherent microwave emission and the sawtooth instability in a compact storage ring

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2001
Strong evidence for self-excited emission of coherent synchrotron radiation in the microwave spectral region was observed at the Synchrotron Ultraviolet Radiation Facility (SURF III) electron storage ring at the NIST.

Ultrafast (1‐5 sec) Lamination of Perovskite Solar Cells With Self‐Encapsulation Using Rapid Joule Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Halide perovskite solar cells are fabricated with self‐encapsulation by lamination between two glass substrates using rapid Joule heating, yielding a 99% reduction in lamination time compared to previous studies. An 18% efficient cell is laminated in 5 s, demonstrating the potential for scalable manufacturing. ABSTRACT Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are

High sensitivity microwave detection using a magnetic tunnel junction in the absence of an external applied magnetic field

open access: yes, 2015
In the absence of any external applied magnetic field, we have found that a magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) can produce a significant output direct voltage under microwave radiation at frequencies, which are far from the ferromagnetic resonance condition,
