New Mid-Infrared Light Sources
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2012We present a novel mid-infrared (mid-IR) source of ultrashort pulses applicable to a wide range of biological, spectroscopic, and strong-field physics investigations. The source produces 67 fs pulses at 3.2 microns, with energy of 3.8 μJ at 100 kHz repetition rate and a pulse-to-pulse RMS stability of 0.7%.

Noise suppression in femtosecond mid-infrared light sources
Optics Letters, 2000An experimental and theoretical study of intrinsic correlations and noise-suppression mechanisms in two-stage femtosecond mid-IR light sources is presented. The setup, based on parametric amplification in BBO and subsequent difference-frequency mixing in AgGaS(2), delivers approximately 100-fs mid-IR pulses with 1-2-muJ energy.

Chalcogenide waveguides as a base for engineering broadband light sources in the mid-infrared
2011 13th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks, 2011Chalcogenide glasses are important for applications in the mid-infrared (IR) spectral range because of their good mid-IR transparency and their high non-linear refractive indices. Our research is focused on creation of mid-IR supercontinuum sources. Numerical modelling of the ultra-short pulse propagation in various kinds of chalcogenide waveguides is ...
