Promising Prodiginins Biological Activities
ABSTRACT Prodiginins are a large family of at least 34 pyrrolic compounds, including the well‐studied red pigment prodigiosin. Prodiginins are produced by several microorganisms displaying broad biological activities, including antimicrobial, antiviral, antiparasitic, antiproliferative, and immunosuppressive activities.

Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2: Analysis of subgenomic mRNA transcription, 3CLpro and PL2pro protease cleavage sites and protein synthesis [PDF]
Coronaviruses have recently caused world-wide severe outbreaks: SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) in 2002 and MERS (Middle-East Respiratory Syndrome) in 2012. At the end of 2019, a new coronavirus outbreak appeared in Wuhan (China) seafood market as first focus of infection, becoming a pandemics in 2020, spreading mainly into Europe and Asia ...

Coronavirus research before 2020 is more relevant than ever, especially when interpreted for COVID-19 [PDF]
The speed with which biomedical researchers were able to identify and characterise COVID-19 was clearly due to prior research with other coronaviruses. Early epidemiological comparisons with two previous coronaviruses, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), also made it easier to predict COVID-19's likely ...
