General Information on Midkine
2012Midkine (MK) is a heparin-binding cytokine or growth factor and promotes survival, growth, migration, gene expression and other activities of target cells. MK is rich in both basic amino acids and cysteine and has about 50% sequence identity with pleiotrophin (PTN).
