Integrated Multi‐Omics Reveals Cellular States and Microenvironmental Remodeling in Coexisting DCIS and IDC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coexisting DCIS and IDC samples are profiled using spatial transcriptomics, single‐cell RNA sequencing, and single‐cell DNA sequencing. Integrative multi‐omics analysis reveals distinct malignant epithelial and microenvironmental features between DCIS and IDC, which are further validated using Xenium and multiplex immunohistochemistry.

CXCL3 Antagonism Reverses Systemic Antitumor Immune Memory Impairment Associated With High Tumor Burden and Sensitizes Anti‐PD‐1 Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that large tumors secrete more chemokine CXCL3, which recruits immunosuppressive neutrophils to the periphery, thereby impairing the activation and memory of systemic tumor‑reactive CD8+ T cells. CXCL3 antagonism restores systemic immune memory and enhances the antitumor efficacy of anti‑PD‑1 therapy, offering a potential strategy to

Sedimentary Mercury Enrichments as a Tracer of Large Igneous Province Volcanism

open access: yesGeophysical Monograph Series, Page 247-262., 2021

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

MIF: Implications in the patho-aetiology of systemic lupus erythematosus

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2015
Macrophage Migration Inhibitory factor (MIF) was one of the earliest pro-inflammatory cytokines to be identified. Increasing interest in this cytokine in recent decades has followed the cloning of human MIF and the generation of Mif-/- mice.

Effect of hyperoxia on MIF expression in NB WT, MIF KO and MIF TG mice lungs at PN7.

open access: yes, 2013
(A) Quantitative real-time PCR of MIF mRNA expression in lungs of NB mice exposed to hyperoxia (as described in “Methods” section) at PN7. Control lungs were exposed to room air for 7 days. The figure is representative of n = 3–4 mice per group.

Atypical Membrane-Anchored Cytokine MIF in a Marine Dinoflagellate

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceMacrophage Migration Inhibitory Factors (MIF) are pivotal cytokines/chemokines for vertebrate immune systems. MIFs are typically soluble single-domain proteins that are conserved across plant, fungal, protist, and metazoan kingdoms,

USP4‐Dependent CHAF1B Stabilization Regulates Distinct SETDB1 Ubiquitin States Linked to AKT T308 Signaling and Lipogenic Remodeling in HCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
USP4 stabilizes CHAF1B by limiting K48‐linked ubiquitination. Stabilized CHAF1B supports UHRF1‐associated K63‐linked SETDB1 ubiquitination and cytoplasmic redistribution, whereas CHAF1B loss favors VHL‐dependent K11‐associated degradative ubiquitination and proteasomal loss of SETDB1.

Investigating the nuclease activity of MIF and MIF-2 and their effects on DNA damage [PDF]

open access: yes
The multifunctional inflammatory protein macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) and its paralog D-dopachrome tautomerase (D-DT)/MIF-2 have important functions in various neurodegenerative diseases.

MIF-induced CD74+ microglia and macrophages promote progression of brain metastasis and are clinically relevant across central nervous system disorders

open access: yes
The upregulation of CD74, a chaperone involved in MHC-II antigen processing, has been mostly interpreted as indicative of antigen presentation in multiple brain disorders.
