Міф [Mif]

open access: yes, 2019

Separation of Immune Interferon and MIF

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1979
SummaryA preparation of mitogen-induced immune interferon and MIF was subjected to sequential salt precipitation with first 55% and then 80% saturated ammonium sulfate. At least 95% of the interferon activity was found in the reconstituted 55-80% precipitate, while MIF activity was found in both precipitates, but most active in the reconstituted 55 ...

Targeting Macrophage‐Mediated Lymphatic Immunosuppression to Prevent Tumor Recurrence After Microwave Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation induces animmunosuppressive microenvironment in tumor‐draining lymph nodes. An albumin‐based lipoprotein nanosystem enables coordinated delivery of immunomodulators to tumor‐draining lymph nodes and residual tumors, reverses post‐ablation immunosuppression, suppresses residual tumor growth, and promotes durable antitumor ...

Levels of the macrophage migration inhibitory factor and polymorphisms in systemic lupus erythematosus: a meta-analysis

open access: yesArchives of Medical Science, 2019
Introduction Several published results have established variations in respect to plasma/serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) levels and gene polymorphisms with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This study gave a more concise estimation on

Structural Control of Stromal‐Immune Coupling by COL24A1 Underlies Pregnancy Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
COL24A1 emerges as a collagen‐associated regulator of maternal‐fetal interface homeostasis. Its deficiency promotes a maladaptive TIMP1‐high stromal state, impaired ECM turnover, collagen accumulation, and stromal–immune dysregulation, contributing to pregnancy loss.

Epithelial SLC25A20 Deficiency Drives Immunosuppressive Neutrophil Remodeling via ARG1 Palmitoylation to Promote Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC25A20 deficiency in tumor cells compromises mitochondrial LCFA transport, which suppresses FAO and drives compensatory release of palmitic acid‐enriched lipids into the TME. These tumor‐derived palmitic acids are taken up by TANs, promoting ZDHHC18‐catalyzed ARG1 palmitoylation.

Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor in Fetoplacental Tissues from Preeclamptic Pregnancies with or without Fetal Growth Restriction

open access: yesClinical and Developmental Immunology, 2012
The proinflammatory cytokine MIF (macrophage migration inhibitory factor) is involved in physiological and pathological processes in pregnancy. MIF maternal serum levels are increased in preeclampsia (PE).

Role of MIF in inflammation and tumorigenesis.

open access: yes, 2008
MIF has been described as a protein that plays an essential role in both innate and acquired immunity. Previous studies have demonstrated that MIF activates lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes/macrophages.

Mitochondrial Localization of Cx26 Promotes Colorectal Cancer Malignancy and Exposes a Fatal Vulnerability to Drug Targeting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial localization of Cx26 emerges as a double‐edged sword in colorectal cancer. PIMT‐mediated methylation of Cx26 promotes its mitochondrial localization and stability. Mitochondrial Cx26 then facilitates ER‐mitochondria communication and Ca2+ signaling, thereby promoting metastatic progression. Bortezomib exploits this malignant adaptation by
