Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Time synchronisation for millisecond-precision on bio-loggers
Time-synchronised data streams from bio-loggers are becoming increasingly important for analysing and interpreting intricate animal behaviour including split-second decision making, group dynamics, and collective responses to environmental conditions ...

Virtual Machine Migration Enabled Cloud Resource Management: A Challenging Task [PDF]
Virtualization technology reduces cloud operational cost by increasing cloud resource utilization level. The incorporation of virtualization within cloud data centers can severely degrade cloud performance if not properly managed. Virtual machine (VM) migration is a method that assists cloud service providers to efficiently manage cloud resources while

Circulating tumor cells: advancing personalized therapy in small cell lung cancer patients
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of lung cancer that spreads rapidly to secondary sites such as the brain and liver. Cancer cells circulating in the blood, “circulating tumor cells” (CTCs), have demonstrated prognostic value in SCLC, and evaluating biomarkers on CTCs could guide treatment decisions such as for PARP inhibitors ...

In situ atomistic observation of disconnection-mediated grain boundary migration
Shear-coupled grain boundary (GB) migration is of general significance in the deformation of nanocrystalline and polycrystalline materials, but comprehensive understanding of the migration mechanism at the atomic scale remains largely lacking.

Breast tumor samples scored for metabolic deregulation (M1 to M3) were given a hypoxia score (HS). The highest HS occurred in patients with strongest metabolic deregulation (M3), supporting tumor aggressiveness. HS correlated with the highest number of metabolic pathways in M1. This suggests hypoxia to be an early event in metabolic deregulation.

Planet migration is the process by which a planet's orbital radius changes in time. The main agent for causing gas giant planet migration is the gravitational interaction of the young planet with the gaseous disk from which it forms. We describe the migration rates resulting from these interactions based on a simple model for disk properties.

Migratable AI: Personalizing Dialog Conversations with migration context [PDF]
The migration of conversational AI agents across different embodiments in order to maintain the continuity of the task has been recently explored to further improve user experience. However, these migratable agents lack contextual understanding of the user information and the migrated device during the dialog conversations with the user. This opens the
