Nickel Chain-Walking Catalysis: A Journey to Migratory Carboboration of Alkenes
Accounts of Chemical Research, 2023ConspectusChain-walking offers extensive opportunities for innovating synthetic methods that involve constructing chemical bonds at unconventional sites. This approach provides previously inaccessible retrosynthetic disconnections in organic synthesis. Through chain-walking, transition metal-catalyzed alkene difunctionalization reactions can take place

Comprehensive Summary“Chain‐walking” reactions could realize to modify a molecule at the position far away from the active site. It has been a hot topic in the research field of organic synthesis. As a number of achievements have been made by researchers, the products of transition metal‐catalyzed chain‐walking reactions could be obtained with good ...

Catalytic carbon-nitrogen bond formation in hydrocarbons is an appealing synthetic tool to access valuable nitrogen-containing compounds. Although a number of synthetic approaches have been developed to construct a bifunctional α-amino carbonyl scaffold in this realm, installation of an amino functionality at the remote and unfunctionalized aliphatic ...

Hydroamination facilitated by metal hydride catalysis is an appealing synthetic approach to access valuable nitrogen-containing compounds from readily available unsaturated hydrocarbons. While high regioselectivity can be achieved usually for substrates bearing polar chelation groups, the reaction involving simple alkenes frequently provides ...

Migratory effect of middle predator in a tri-trophic food chain model
Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2010Summary: A tri-trophic food chain model in a two-patch environment is considered. Although the tri-trophic food chain model is well studied, a study considering migration of middle predators is lacking. To the best of our knowledge, the present investigation is the first study in this direction.

We consider a simple linear chain, which represents how organisms pass through a number of intermediate stages before reaching a final phase, allowing time delays between consecutive compartments. The final state of this linear system is determined explicitly as a function of initial data and transition rates. Three biological applications are provided:
