Mirroring the image of the Milky Way bar [PDF]
Treballs Finals de Grau de Física, Facultat de Física, Universitat de Barcelona, Curs: 2025, Tutor: Marcin Bartosz SemczukThe bar pattern speed (Ωp) is a crucial parameter for understanding dynamics of spiral galaxies, which includes our own Milky Way ...

Bar-driven Streaming Motions Mimic a Massive Bulge in the Inner Milky Way
The circular speed curve of the Milky Way provides a key constraint on its mass distribution, reflecting the axisymmetric component of the gravitational potential.

Dynamical evidence of a dark solitonic core of 109M? in the milky way
[EN]A wavelike solution for the non-relativistic universal dark matter (wave-DM) is rapidly gaining interest, following pioneering simulations of cosmic structure as an interference pattern of coherently oscillating bosons. A prominent solitonic standing wave is predicted at the center of every galaxy, representing the ground state solution of the ...

Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.

Differential Accretion of Ionized Low-velocity Gas at the Milky Way’s Disk–Halo Interface
We measure line-of-sight velocities of metal absorption and H I emission along 132 QSO sight lines in order to study gas accretion and outflow at the disk–halo interface of the Milky Way.

The hyperactivation of PI3K/AKT signaling in PTEN wild‐type triple‐negative breast cancer represents a clinical paradox. We delineate a novel post‐translational regulatory axis wherein the oncogene TSPYL5 competitively antagonizes the deubiquitinase USP10.

All-sky Kinematics of the Distant Halo: The Reflex Response to the LMC
The infall of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) is predicted to displace the inner Milky Way (MW), imprinting an apparent “reflex motion” on the observed velocities of distant halo stars. We construct the largest all-sky spectroscopic data set of luminous

This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

ABSTRACT Mast cells (MCs), key innate immune sentinels at the host–environment interface, serve as primary responders to invading pathogens. However, their specific contribution to host defense against cutaneous Candida albicans (C. albicans) infection and their synergy with other immune and non‐immune cells remain poorly understood. Here, we show that
